This is so to say the users manual of Fortunadom Castle. This will explain what the school is, where it is located at, places in the castle and the surrounding areas. How the site itself works and all of the F.A.Q you might have.

Fortunadom is a Magical School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, that takes concepts from Harry Potter and other various mythical places and creatures and combines them all into creating the Castle of Fortunadom. The idea of it came from reading the fourth book in the Harry Potter Series: The Goblet of Fire, and realizing that there are more then one school out there that teaches Witchcraft or Wizardry.

Most of Fortunadom Castle and Magician's Cove is based off of various Role Plays. Although there are many other things here on the site that are not. For example our Tower is a place to go and talk about anything in general or the area in the Dungeon's that allows you to play games.

Fortunadom Castle is a mysterious place, you never know what you might run into in the old dark halls. Many things here are not as they seem. It is up to you to discover what might be real or what is just a ploy to keep you entertained.

Fortunadom is located in the northern area of North America, in the area of Magician's Cove. I cannot give the exact location, because of course it is a secret. It is located on the shore of Crestfield Lake. It is situated on top of a Cliff. The only way to reach the Castle is by boating across Crestfield Lake to the docks in Wendiam Harbor. Then walking or taking a carriage to the gates of the school.

Magician's Cove is a small place and is easily overlooked by people that do not know where it is at. This makes it easier for people to get lost on the journey there unless they know the exact directions. All students to get to Magician's Cove must travel by ship from Hudson Bay. This ship like many magical items is not what it seems, it is only viewable by the eye of a Witch or Wizard.

After the ship reaches Wendiam Harbor, students are let off in the little town of Wendiam. This little town has a dozen or so stores, The Ministry, The Harbor itself and the local newspaper. It is small but with the space given there are many attraction for a student, as well as staff.

Magician's Cove is average sized forum that has many place to explore. Look over this for the locations of all of the thing here and what they have to offer.

Information:

The Office:
This is the place to come to sign the rules, and leave your questions and your suggestions. It is also the place to come so you can keep updated on all of the announcements and updates that will be happening around the site.

Sorting:
The most important area of the site. You cannot become a student until you are sorted into one of the three houses. This is the place to come to get sorted into one of them. Also the Wand Quiz and Magical-Blood Line Quiz is here, you are not a witch or wizard without a wand.

Redwood Manor:
This is the testing grounds of the site. All graduation testing will be taken in the Redwood Manor and on the Redwood Manor Grounds. This area is unlocked for all students once you enter your 6th year.

Redwood Manor Grounds:
This along with the Redwood Manor is designated for graduation testing. This area is for the Magical Creature project and unlocked once you enter your 6th year.

Site Celebrations:
This special area is used when we have parties on MC. The celebration board will have games, contests and the party threads. This will appear only at times when we are having a celebration for something.

This is the place to come to sign up for the class of Magical Creatures. This class teaches students all about the different Magical Creature in the world of Magic. You will not only learn about the basic magical animals but also those that are of the Dark Arts.

Magical Creature Professors Office:
This class has no professor.
The office area for the Professor of Magical Creatures.

Flying Class:
Out of all of the classes that Fortunadom has, this is probably the most important. Flying will have a large impact on the Role Plays here. If you need to freshen up your skills or need to learn all about the art of Flying.

Mylie's Cottage:
Come in and meet Mylie. The Castles friendliest most notable member. Mylie is a house-elf that wanders around the site and awards members prizes for doing good deeds, she might send you on a mission to help her out, but it is never hard and you will always get rewarded.

The Gardens:
This is a Role Play area of the beautiful gardens that lead from the gates of the castle to the front doors of the school itself.

Quidditch Pitch

Quidditch Stadium:
Role Play area where you can come to sit and watch a nice game of Quidditch. Don't forget to wear your house colors.

The Clubhouse
The clubhouse is one of the largest Role Play areas on the site. It is a building that is situated up in the sky. It has various rooms that will allow you to converse with your fell house-mates and enjoy yourselves from a whole perspective.

Freestyle Flying Area:
This area is another Role Play area where you can grab a broom and just have fun playing in the sky, practicing the art of flying.

This area also contains the rules to playing Quidditch and the games will take place here.

The Quidditch Locker Rooms
This is the area where the Quidditch Players come to practice their skills, before the big game.

The Dungeons:

History:
The place to come to learn about the History of the Magical World.

History Professors Office:
This class has no professor.
The office area for the Professor of History.

Student Lounge:
Role Play area for students to come to relax all together, get help with homework or just play a game of gobstones.

Games:
The place to come to play games with other students.

Detention:
This is the detention area where rule breakers will have to pay for their deeds.

Main/First floor:

Dining Room:
This is the place to come for meals, parties, feasts and food fights.

Alchemy Class:
This is the class for those interested in the arts of Potion Making and Herbology. This class is a combination of both similar areas, in an artful and educational way.

The Greenhouse:
This is attached to the Alchemy Class. It is used for lessons that center around one main potion ingredient.

Alchemy Professors Office:
This class has no professor.
The office area for the Professor of Alchemy.

Second Floor:

Wand Magic Class:
This class teaches all spell, charms, curses, jinx, hexes, and ways to transfigure things. This class centers on the Wand. A witch or wizard's life line.

Wand Magic Professors Office:
This class has no professor.

Library:
This library of Fortunadom.

Meet Spiffy
Come meet the oldest member of Fortunadom Castle, Spiffy the Castle Ghost. Come here and hear all about his life and death as well as play some special games and do some extra errands for the Ghost to get a variety of prizes.

Penarddun Prize Parlor: This is a paid members only shop that appears once a month. You can buy exclusive wears here that cannot be found anywhere else on the site. All that you have to do is pay the one time member fee of 500 Gaggles.

ACCOUNTS

• Do not lie about your age or gender. If you lie you have a chance to be banned from Proboards. The dorms here are restricted by gender, you are free to put no gender but do not lie about it.
  
• No double accounts. Each used may have ONE account and ONE only. If there is family that shares the computer here let me know, if not I will ban one of the accounts.
  
• No inappropriate usernames.
  

USER CONDUCT

• No complaining about the house you are sorted into or the wand you are given. I put you in the house that fits you best. Your house will never change.
  
• Site unity is a must here. I do not want any fighting with other member due to their house, their blood-status, gender, race, age, sexuality or anything else. If you are caught mistreating any person on the site you will being suspended.
  
• No obscenities, foul language, innappropiate links or pictures, and sever bashing fellow users will result in suspension or banning.
  
• No double posting. This is posting twice in a row. The second post will be deleated and if double posting continues dention and suspension actions will be taken.
  
• Don't Spam. This is posting or copying long messages over and over, post one worded post where not allowed, post soemthing that is pointless and has no meaning and malicious natured post. Constant break of this rule will result in detention or suspension.
  
• Never inmersonate any HP cast, crew, other members and J.K. Rowling. Impersonation is not tolerated and it will result in being banned from the site.
  
• No sexual innuedos or activities will be allowed. They are against Proboards Terms of Services and you will be banned from the site.
  
• No cheating with games, classwork and contests.
  
• Please do not give out any personal information to any person on the site. This includes full name, phone number and addresses. Many people come to the site and we want you all to be safe.
  
• Do not as other members of staff to become a staff member yourslelf. If you want a job please apply in the Ministry of Magic.
  
• You may advertise here on the site in your siginatures and the affiliate board but not all over the site.
  
• Report satff to me if they are abusing thier power. You will remain anonymous.
  

OTHER

• The signature size limit is 300 (height) by 500 (width) in pixels.
  
• Grammer here is important. You are allowed to use netspeak or text in the game area and when you are just goofing off, but it is not allowed in Role Play areas. Please use proper grammer, correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
  
• Theft, plagiarism, and/or use of any of WP’s content without permission is strictly prohibited and punishable by law.
  
• This site is a Harry Potter fansite, members and visitors should come because they enjoy it, If you come her to insult members becasue we like Harry Potter, I suggest that you don't waste your time here and find another place to do so.
  
• If you have questions about the rules or do not understand something please post your questions in the Question Board. Questions placed here will not be answered.

The highest staff position is of course that of the Ministress. Then the rank of staff, and the powers decrease after that.

Your ranking as a student depends on your post count. The more you post the higher year you become. Before you can graduate you must take at least one term in every class and pass the exams that are required for those classes.

After graduation you will have the choice of just being a graduate of moving onto getting a job. More Information will be given out about this once we get students in their sixth year.

House Points are given out on Magician's Cove as a way to reward good behavior, winning games, contests, doing a good job in lessons, Quidditch and at random times for random things (these are called surprise points). House Points can only be given to students by the staff members.

At the end of the month, all of the house points that each student has acquired will be counted up and they will be cleared, by your Head Manager and they will be posted in the News Fader. Then at the end of the term, (terms last 3 Months), all of your house points will be added up and the house with the most points will win the house cup.

The House Cup Winners will receive a party in the Celebration Board and each member gets 250 gaggles in prize cash.

All of your points will be logged in your account notes and the Staff Room and after 4 terms, (a year), all of the house points attained in the past year will be counted up and the house with the most points will win the Championship Cup. A cup that signifies all of the hard work that the members of the house put into the site.

When you win the Championship Cup you will have a signature made for your signature section, a party, and 500 gaggles to all of the members of the house.

House Points are kept in the student's account notes.

Here at Magician's Cove, money is a very important thing. Money will buy you everything from your books for classes to the attire that you wear in your everyday life. There are many ways on the site to get the money:

Gaggles are the Monetary unit of Wendiam and Fortunadom. 500 Gaggles are given to each member when they first join but after that you have to earn more gaggles to buy the things at La Place Principale.

1) Sometimes you will get Gaggles from being helpful to other members. To get these Gaggles from other members the member that wants to give the gaggles has to go to the Bank and say they want to give this member a certain amount of money. The money will then be taken off of the first person's amount and added to the next.

Example: I, Emily, want to give Bill 10 gaggles.
10 Gaggles would be removed from Emily's account and added to Bill's.

2) You can get Gaggles from playing games.

3) You can get Gaggles from winning contests.

4) You also get Gaggles for posting because each post earns you 1 Gaggle.

5)You can also get money from the staff for showing good behavior and for following the rules.

6) Lastly you can get Gaggles for doing jobs on the site.
