Dangel and I both have been spit balling ideas that would add a little something to MC and make it a bit more fun for the members. So we have come up with putting our own little spin on a Classic TV Game Show- Jeopardy. This game show will take place over a week and everyone will get a chance to compete, no matter what house you are in or how much you know about the categories.
Dangel and I kicked around a few category ideas, but we both thought that it was best to make them about things related just to the MC world and the themes and ideas we used in the creation of the site. The two main fandoms that MC is based off are Twilight and Harry Potter, so for our first Jeopardy game we are going to have 3 categories for each of the two fandoms. The person with the highest score at the end of the week will win a basket full of prizes. But don’t worry everyone that competes in the contest will get a prize or two.
In classic Jeopardy Fashion we are going to have a 6x6 game board. There will be 6 categories and in each category there will be 5 clues worth 100-1,000 points. There will also be two daily double questions and there will be a final question.
Once the contest rules are posted you will have a week to sign up to compete. You will use the sign up form found in the correct sub-area and post it here as a reply. After the week sign-up period the first row of questions (the 100 point) ones will be viewable to everyone. All you have to do is answer the 6 questions and PM THEM TO ME EDANA REDWOOD (username: admin). YOU MUST PM THE ANSWERS. If you post them here in the thread you will be disqualified. You will have 24 hours to answer the questions before they are hidden.
For each question you answer right you will get the money amount of the question. For example, if you answer 3 out of 6 questions right of the $100 questions you will get $300. We will do this for five days. Then the top three contestants will enter the final round. On the sixth day the category for the Final Jeopardy will be posted. The top three contestants will have 24 hours to PM ME the amount of money they want to risk on the final question. On day seven the final question will be posted.
Just like every other day you will have 24 hours to get me your answer. If you get the question right you will get the money amount you wagered, if you get it wrong then you will lose that money. The person with the most money at the end of the seven days will be declared the winner and crowned the King or Queen of Jeopardy.
May 10th-May 14th: Sign up Period. If you want to compete sign up during that time period.
May 17th: Round 1 Questions Open. The $100 questions will be opened around 12 NOON EST.
May 18th: Round 2 Questions Open. The $200 questions will be opened around 12 NOON EST.
May 19th: Round 3 Questions Open. The $400 questions will be opened around 12 NOON EST.
May 20th: Round 4 Questions Open. The $800 questions will be opened around 12 NOON EST.
May 21th: Round 5 Questions Open. The $1,000 questions will be opened around 12 NOON EST.
May 22nd: The top three are announced. The Final Question Category is revealed. Make sure to place your final bids by NOON on the 23rd.
May 23rd: The top three go head to head with the Final Question.
